LEG DESTRUCTION - Courtesy of Kru Piaew from Rattachai gym in Phuket.
Firstly, you can see at the start what damage a strong check/block can do. See how Kru keeps his knee at a strong 90 degree angle and meets the kick. Because his opponent threw it with little intent, his flimsy leg crumbled against Krus' shin.
Now onto the leg kicks - the key here is timing, Kru strikes everytime the opponent puts his weight on his front foot. You can see as well when they enter the clinch he knees the leg for further damage.
Finally, notice how Kru lands numerous high kicks towards the end. This is because his opponent is expecting the low kicks.
This is a great display of the Thai style - smart, thought through strategy, no big combinations, just single well-timed strikes.
