The European Business Awards for the Environment (EBAE) are presented by the European Commission every two years. They reward European companies of all sizes that have made an outstanding contribution to sustainable development; those whose activities contribute to economic and social advance without detriment to the environment.

The 2016-17 competition saw 148 entries from 21 EU Member States and candidate countries. The six winners were each outstanding in their field, and all demonstrated progress through a combination of innovation, economic viability, environmental concern and social responsibility.
