This playlist is the video portion of my Way-To-Stim-Wednesday blog.

The goal of these videos is:

-to show autistic individuals that it is OK to stim
-to encourage positive and safe ways to stim
-to show many different ways and types of stimming
-to show parents that there are replacement stims, instead of trying to extinguish stimming entirely

The term "stimming" is short for self-stimulatory behavior, sometimes also called "stereotypic" behavior. In a person with autism, stimming usually refers to specific behaviors such as flapping, rocking, spinning, or repetition of words and phrases.
