Pokémon Gold and Silver were released in 1999, 2000, and 2001 for Japan, US/Australia, and Europe respectively. This is the next installment to the Pokémon series after Red and Blue. This featured a new land called Johto, along with about 100 new Pokémon. It included many new features, such as real-time day changes, Pokémon being able to hold items, and Pokégear functioning as a number of different things, such as a watch, a radio, and a phone. It was like the game's own type of iPhone before the iPhone existed.

Later on, Crystal was released. It was basically the same as Gold and Silver, but added animated sprites, the ability to select your main character's gender, and two subplots dealing with Suicune and the Unown Pokémon.

This soundtrack was requested by KeybladeMasterz.
