Resilience Summer Games:
Teams of five select “events” from a family-friendly master list, and complete as many as they want over nine days. Events are opportunities to be creative and kind, and to improve individuals’ resilience as well as the resilience of the larger Corvallis community.
Ladies and Gentlemen: In the dark corners of Corvallis, the Little Free Library Bandit hits Little Free Libraries and flips all the books around.
The bird was dropped off here while her mother went to Tom’s Peacock Bar & Grill, and she never came back.
Maybe it’s a cry for help. Maybe she just doesn’t know how books work. But the bird’s determined to ruin reading experiences for everyone!
She even has the tenacity to trick us into thinking she is the Neighborhood Watch villain!
The residents are outraged!
People are rioting in the streets!
Neighborhood dogs are going thirsty!
Pet owners can’t find enough free food for their free-loading animals!
Everyone is confused about what they love – and now literate young hipsters think it’s ironic to fly off the 5th story roofs of their rich parents’ mansions.
You’re a menace, Little Free Library Bandit.
This just in: the bird bandit has the gull to head to a big-cheese library! The strange thing is… she hasn’t flipped any books! No one has seen her flip books in any Little Free Libraries for days! The city of Corvallis has no idea what to expect next!
Where is the Flamingo Bandit?
Will she strike again?
Has she forgiven her mother?
Has she found inner-peace… at last?
