Ive never felt so alone and far away, but yet connected and in control at the same time, until I hiked the John Muir Trail. The John Muir Trail left me broken and humbled by the beauty we live in.
In short, here is a teaser featuring 5 seconds a day on the john Muir trail. Thank you everyone for your support and I hope you enjoy.
I set off on August 24th to do a 16 day 220 mile plus hike on the John Muir trail. Well Sunday, September 4th of 2016, at 4:25pm, I hit the summit of Mount Whitney, the largest peak in the lower 48 at over 14,500 feet, completing my hike in 12 days. After day 3, I was walking 12 hour days and doing over 20 miles. This was one of the most emotionally and physically hardest things I have done, and accomplished.
When finishing, I got a ride in car with leather seats, air condition, and the eagles playing in the background. It's such a weird feeling hearing nothing but waterfalls, wind, birds, and squirrels, then being thrown back into traffic, dusty roads, and buildings.
At the end of the day, id say to myself I did something greater than yesterday. I went harder, climber higher, walked faster. It was a roller coaster of emotions and physical challenges taught me a lot about myself. Showed me what I was made of, and what will power could help you achieve.
Live to love and love to live.
Thanks for the love and support.
