‘Jutti’ is a story about, how deep rooted cultural influences affect our behaviour.It is a story of 20 year old Gujrati girl Ami, who has come for a darshan at a famous temple in a small town and ends up in a modest shoe shop with broken sandals. The shoe shop is run by an over smart Punjabi boy, Harry. What happens is what makes for a sweet love story called, "Jutti".
The Virgins‟ is the rocking tale of a young man and woman on the cusp of an arranged marriage. It goes under their skin and explores how it is being caught up between the old world expectations, upbringing and what's “cool” now. Virginity-does it matter today?
Humaramovie organised the short film competition at the Wassup Andheri Festival in March 2012. 12 shortlisted candidates (out of close to a 100) made their films under the mentorship of Anurag Kashyap & Imtiaz Ali. There were 6 each in the two teams culminating in a thrilling competition. Imtiaz judged movies under Anurag's mentorship, while Anurag did the same for Imtiaz's movies. The audience decided on the final 2 movies and chose the winner.
5000 people in the audience watched the movie and decided the winner- the greatest award of all.
