There are a lot of myth's involving Lucio's sound wave, so with the help of some awesome friends (SSweetDreamz and Kutebunny) we decided to test out everything we could think of involving Lucio's Soundwave (push ability). A summary of the results is below:
Soundwave is uneffected by the weight of the enemy (all characters pushed the same distance)
Soundwave will push the same distance regardless of how far away Lucio is from the enemy (provided it hits)
Distance and cone is a lot bigger than expected (check video) but on screen horizontal range is about 70% of screen
If your aim is to the right of the character, it will push the character more to the left
If enemy is coming down from a jump, it may cancel out a portion of the momentum. If character is at peak or jumping up, soundwave will still work the same
Best way to fight against ability is to push toward Lucio, you should be able to cut the effect push distance in half (approx.)
Can't push Bastion in Sentry mode
Can't push (Torlbjorn) turret
Can't stop Reinhardt charging directly at you
Can push Reinhadt charge that is perpendicular to you to save an ally
Can't push Junkrat Riptire
