[00:00:12]Swati Bute from Jagran Lakecity University, India looks at how OTT providers have brought about changes in the genres available to audiences in India. She notices the significant differences between traditional Indian television which is heavily focused on romance and melodrama while the OTT providers offer more crime- and thriller-based narratives. [00:24:11] Cathrin Bengesser from Aarhus University in Denmark compares the local niche streaming markets in Europe. She finds that some markets with high streaming uptake are dominated by the big multinational companies such as Amazon Prime and Netflix, while in others local providers are more successful.
