http://barbados.org/blog/5-family-friendly-barbados-adventures/

There are many fun things to do with kids in Barbados. One of the top 10 most popular adventures for children of all ages is a visit to explore the animal flower cave on the very most northern tip of Barbados.

http://barbados.org/blog/5-family-friendly-barbados-adventures/

Its named after the marine anemones found within its tidal pools. They are marine plants that are very life like. To feed they open up like flower in bloom but if you touch them they coil back into a tight bud on a rock so you can hardly know they exist.

The cave is a bit of a challenge if you are not sure on your feet but guides will assist you if needed. There are lovely rock formations and colours and all sorts of hidden pools. If the sea is high and the waves are big the cave has been know to flood so hold on tight to little people if this is the case. You dont need to worry about this much as the owners will always close the cave if the seas are high and waves are like to break into the cave.

Their is also a lovely restaurant on the premises well worth a visit. Sometime you may spot a whale while having lunch.

A turtle hatchling release with the Barbados Sea Turtle Project is always an inspiring & uplifting event.

Only 1 in 1000 hatchlings will survive to adulthood :(

A female that does reach maturity will one day return to the beach she were born or released on to lay eggs of her own :)
