<media:description>This is a 52 Fford that was originally a Bell telephone truck. It has passed through three &quot;documented&quot; owners and I am the fourth. It was purchased by the second owner from L&amp;L Ford in Roosevelt Utah. I got it started after installing new wires, points and cap, battery cables, complete wiring harness and dumping some gas in the carburetor. It had squirrils living in it at some point and their nest was in the seat. I have since replaced tons of parts with all period parts either bought or hand crafted by me. It still has a long wat to go before it is road worthy. It had been sitting in a feild for many years.

<media:description>The equipment includes, automatic transfer switch that has renewable as the priority, Morning Star 40 amp battery charger, Nova 3000 watt 48 volt inverter for the large solar array, Powerjack grid tie inverter for the smaller solar panel array, DC breaker panel with digital power meter and breakers for both solar panel arrays, manual disconnect switch panel for the supply to both inverters, eight AGM 12 volt batteries, manual 400 amp disconnect for the batteries, and a remote control for the battery charger. My large array consistes of eight 250 watt panels in sets of two and a smaller array of sixteen 75 and 80 watt panels in sets of two. Both arrays are fused with combiners, disconnects and lightning protection. this project was done entirely by me and the magical internet.
The automatic transfer switch is the Ecotran made by Reliance. I do not recommend it for the simple reason that it isn't reliable. It has a mechanism to automatically switch the utility and renewable breakers off and on according to load. The switching mechanism is weak and will stick sometimes. Also the transfer switch is set up to switch from renewable to utility if the load exceeds 20 amps. Depending on the load it may switch back and forth dozens of times before settling back on the renewable position. This causes the switching mechanism to heat up dramatically and can even cause it to burn up. For these reasons I leave the auto switches off and operate the transfer switch manually and it works fine. Eventually when I get better batteries the plan will be to run on the Powerjack gridtie inverter during the day and on batteries at night.
