Back with another video, this one specificially for the groin and inner thighs (the adductors). This sequence drops you right into working on both strengthening and stretching the inner thighs, working the glutes in a supporting role for said work, and of course always garnished with core and back work, which are the backbone of the movement back and forth on the mat.

If you've been feeling that your inner thighs could use a boost, reminding them how much support it can provide in standing one legged poses, then be ready to put them to good use, helping you stay stronger and more balanced.

I'm sure you've heard it before, Yoga can be great for you, this and that, but why do most people actually start going to yoga for?

In this video, I discuss a few common reasons people start a yoga practice, as well as a bit of my own reasons. 

I think It's important to share a teachers perspective, on what people get from the practice and some of the obstacles you run into when you get started. 

This is by no means a comprehensive video about the subject, but it will probably help you get more insight into the beginners mind.

The practice is sped up, and you can see me while I talk, a first for me in this format :)

How did your practice change in the past 8 months? I'm here to give you a teachers perspective on what my students have accomplished, and how their practice changed.

Let me start by saying thank you to all my students who work so hard to make this work, we've all had to make adjustments, but to stick with it so beautifully as you did and continue to grow despite everything else has been a real challenge.

The results are in and they are resounding! The live practice looks as strong as ever! In fact, I think I'm seeing more gains now than from before, and I think it has to do with:

1. Fewer distractions, you can really focus on details and mastery, especially with all the individual adjustments.
2. You don't need to dress up, go anywhere, commute, or waste any time!.
3. You can look back and SEE the difference! classes are recorded, so you can compare and contrast, and see your mistakes, so you can address them.

It's a perfect setup: practice in comfort, get individual corrections, and review your work so you can see it for yourself and grow intelligently.

In this video, I talk about what the journey looks like when you start practicing, and why things seem to get worse for a very short time before they get better. I feel like a lot of potential Yogis don't get this talk when they start practicing, and then give up just before it's going to get better.

I've made the journey in and out of yoga a few times over the past ten years, including picking up new practices, and taking time off from practices and then coming back, and I can unequivocally say that the Yoga works, but you need great guidance, encouragement, and patience towards yourself.

Even from home, even when you don't actually have people physically around you, you can still get encouraged by seeing other people try together on screen.
