Ivan had the privilege to work with Emma and her team in Ireland for a week in February 2017. Videos of the device in action from her play will be linked to once available :) The exo-arm is an assistive tool which was designed to provide slightly increased function and range of motion to Emma's left arm specifically for the purpose of controlling puppets. Emma had an injury at a young age resulting in a loss of function in her left arm. The play "Pupa" explores many themes including personal identity and disability. The arm was a part of her exploring the concept of puppeteering her own arm in order to, in turn, control a puppet.
