   <media:description>ALS Metallurgy has successfully completed a large program of bench and pilot scale testwork on samples of ore from Syerston Scandium Project located in New South Wales, Australia. 

This work was conducted for project owner CleanTeQ Holdings Limited who supplied the proprietary continuous-resin-in-pulp (CRIP) pilot plant which was run in series with ALS Metallurgy’s high-pressure-acid-leach (HPAL) pilot plant. The process flowsheet incorporates dissolution of scandium under high pressure acid leaching conditions followed by adsorption of digested scandium from the leached pulp being discharged from HPAL. 

ALS Metallurgy’s HPAL pilot operation was the largest of its kind undertaken in Australia and represents a key milestone in the company’s drive to increase our capability and expertise in providing a one stop shop for metallurgical bench and pilot testing of all minerals.</media:description>
