1 cup of milk (250 ml)
1 cup of cream (250 ml)
⅓ cup of sugar
2 tsp gelatin
Pinch of salt
1 tsp vanilla
Strawberry Sauce
450 g strawberries
1/3 cup sugar(or as required, depending on the sourness of your strawberries)
1. soak gelatin in 4 tbsp cold water and let it bloom for 10 minutes.
2. In a saucepan mix cream, milk, gelatin, sugar, vanilla, and salt. bring to a simmer over medium-low heat (Do not boil) until gelatin dissolves.
3. Pour it in the small serving glasses and refrigerate until it sets, for about 4 hrs or better overnight.
4. To prepare the sauce, wash the strawberries and remove leaves. use a blender to make a puree. In a small saucepan put the strawberry puree sugar and a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer and remove from heat immediately.
5. Pass through a strainer to remove the seeds out of the sauce. Cover and let it cool to room temperature then refrigerate until ready to serve.
6. pour the strawberry sauce over the panna cotta and serve.
