The third video release off Mara Hruby's acclaimed EP entitled 'Archaic Rapture' is none other than "In The Wee Small Hours" directed & edited by Melinda James of About Her Films. This final video concludes the heart felt 2014 EP, documenting a journey that was lived in Ms. Hruby's very home in Berkeley, CA where this video was captured. Keeping up with the sentiment and personable lifestyle Ms. Hruby courageously displays so honestly, comes a piece of work that could only, truly, be documented in the depths, darkness, light and balance of her very own personal space.
"My aim was to convey the power of vulnerability and the courage it takes to stand in your truth, right where it all happens, wherever that may be. I shot this video one week before I moved out of my home of 4 years, and couldn't think of having a more proper goodbye to that home and chapter of my life than this video. Let us always remember to stand strong in our experiences and remain honest with ourselves." - Mara Hruby
This moody, yet fiery, torch song originally came from composer David Mann and songwriter Bob Hilliard in 1955, but Ms. Hruby's version was greatly inspired by Julie London's version from 1960.
Keep an attentive eye out for Mara Hruby's all original debut album to be announced soon!
