Contact to YOLK for collaboration or CSR : email@example.com Children in developing countries are deprived of childhood and educational opportunities due to child labor. The Solar Cow Project is a system that rewards parents with electricity which is very high economic value in Africa who send their children to school instead of a workplace, based on the insight that child labor is the most fundamental to economic problems. First, we install a photovoltaic system in the school and distribute a power bank to the children which can be charged only at the school. In the morning, children can plug in the power bank that’s connected to the solar system and study at school while waiting for it to be charged. It gives the parents the motivation to send the children to the school rather than the workplace by bringing the charged power bank to home and supplying electricity to home during the school.
