Dr. Sketchy's Los Angeles

Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art school is the world’s premier alt.drawing movement. Founded in 2005 in a dive bar in Brooklyn by art school dropout Molly Crabapple, Dr. Sketchy’s has now spread to over 100 cities around the world.

Dr. Sketchy’s was brought to Los Angeles in May 2009 by Bob Self, president of Baby Tattoo, Inc, a company that publishes illustrated books by popular contemporary artists. In May 2016, the branch was taken over by variety arts producer and performer, Bella Luna.

Dr. Sketchy’s Los Angeles allows artists of all levels to draw glamorous underground performers in an atmosphere of boozy conviviality. Our models are burlesque dancers, variety artists, exhibitionists, cosplay kings and queens ~ we have something for everyone! Join us for art, contests, performances, music, & mayhem.
