The Embassy of Pakistan to Sweden and Finland held a Naat Khawani to celebrated Eid Milad Al Nabi in Stockholm. Member of Pakistani community and officials of the Embassy attended the Eid Milad Celebrations. At the end of the Milad, special prayer were offered for the continuous peace, progress and prosperity of Pakistan and the world.
Pakistan Independence Day Celebration in Sweden 2016 Pakistan’s Independence Day, which is annually held on August 14, celebrates the country’s independence from the British rule on that date in 1947. This day is an occasion to promote patriotism and national unity. Pakistan Mela Stockholm organised a Independence day celebration included a Mela and music program at Husby where Ambassador of Pakistan in Sweden Mr. Muhammad Tariq Zameer was the chief guest, Mr. Najeeb Durrani and other officers and staff of Embassy of Pakistan to Sweden and Finland was special guest. The Mela was totally focused on Independence day and culture of Pakistan. Most specifically, Pakistani cummunity was invited on this event by the organizing committee of Pakistan Mela Stockholm including M Afzal Farooqi, Rahmat Ali, Asif Butt, Muhammad Ali Lashari, Amer Ali Nadeem and other several companions. A number of games and competitions showing culture of Pakistan were presented in the Mela. Program was designed in three different sections. In the final core section, Sanwal Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi (son of living legend Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi), Tasadduq Hussain, Rajjab Ali Khan, Johnsson team performed live with beautiful folk and National songs. Famous Musicians from Stockholm, Yousaf Khan, Nawaz Khan, Samson and Saud Saleem played live music to take the Mela at its climax. Special Magic Show was also presented. Main hosts of the Pakistan Mela Stockholm, Afzal Farooqi, Mohsin Saleemi, Sara lashari, Saud Saleem, Sohail Safdar and Muhammad Farooq conducted the program in well planned way. More than 2000 people enjoyed the Pakistan Mela and celebrated Independence day. At end of the program, as clock showed the start of 14th August in Pakistan. Director of IDesi channel Shahzad Ansari, played national Anthem on the stage with guitar. At this moment, public stood up from their seats in the honor of national anthem. Ambassador of Pakistan addressed briefly congratulating the Independence Day to the public and showed solidarity with Kashmiri people and supported independence of Indian occupied Kashmir according to the will of Kashmiri people.
