Freezing is one of the simplest ways to store and preserve food. It reduces waste and saves time, money and work in the kitchen. Freezing also makes it easier to put mouthwatering and better-for-you meals on the table in a flash because there is always something within reach to eat. In addition to showing how to select ingredients and prepare healthy and delicious meals, in each episode of “Fresh & Frozen with Diane Henderiks” I will share tips on how to freeze leftover individual ingredients and entire dishes, defrost them and incorporate them back into quick, healthy and flavorful dishes with minimal effort. Each episode will include 2 to 3 recipes that can be doubled, tripled or quadrupled to then freeze and become your own “convenience” foods free from excess salt, sugar, fat and unwanted ingredients.
