Our mission is to nurture the potential of infants and toddlers to lead healthy, productive, and self-reliant lives by eliminating malnutrition. We do this by: Providing nutrient dense supplements for the first 1000 days to children who qualify for services secondary to underweight, stunting and/or wasting as measured on standard World Health Organization Growth Charts. Promoting exclusive breastfeeding of infants until 6 months of age with introduction of complementary foods at age 6 months. We also support sustained breastfeeding until a child is at least 2 years of age. Educating families on hygienic and healthy food preparation and meal planning. Providing micronutrient supplementation with a focus on Vitamin A, iron, and zinc. Providing semi-annual de-worming of children. Monitoring growth every six months. Sponsoring elementary education scholarships for children unable to afford school. Purchasing supplements locally and employ local volunteers.
