  • Entrepreneurship Saved My Life

    2,482 views 1 year ago
It has been 1 year since I've made my first sale on Amazon through their FBA program. Since then I've lived abroad, traveled around the world, grown a s&%t-ton, and began getting a taste of a life I've always wanted.

But... It's not always about what happened since the first success. A lot of times it's about who you were leading up to it. Well, this is my brief story of how entrepreneurship, and especially Amazon FBA, have saved my life from being someone I never wanted to be.

I was born in Belarus and came to Canada when I was 11. I grew up never quiet fitting in anywhere. I had friends, but I always felt like an outsider. Ryan was the first person I met that I felt really connected with in grade 7. We not only grew up together but we raised each other. We literally elevated each other every step of the way. You need a strong wing like that.

Middle school, high school, university... It was all more or less a blur. I felt like I was just droning my way through the motions. If I knew what I know now... But it wasn't all bad. University served its purpose in other ways than just classrooms and education. It gave me my first real business experience in a form of a franchise.

I bummed around for some years and It wasn't until my lowest low on Christmas 2014 that things started to come together. Ryan and I started our own home services business and because pretty darn good at it. We earned enough money to take a celebratory trip to SE Asia.

There I met some guys that were doing Amazon FBA and the fire was lit. When I got back I studied everything I could get my hands on. Eventually, I put in an order.

You know what's crazy? Between my first down payment and me receiving my stock, I've managed to go on two adventures - Pakistan and Red Bull Can You Make It 2016. I sure knew how to fill the time in my time off from business :D.

The summer of 2016 was spent on selling the home services company and growing the Amazon business. Sometime in July, I posted my first Youtube Video and things took off from there.

And here we are, a year since my first sale, I am in Zagreb, Croatia, making money and videos online, traveling the world, and living a life most dream of. I am forever thankful...

I didn't get here by chance or by luck. I worked hard and I was afraid of being left out. If you're afraid of being left behind or feel like life is slipping away... GOOD. As Jordan Belford would say "pick up the phone and start dialing".

This is where my life has taken me. Where will your life take you?
