Screen printing t shirts in beautiful Austin never gets old. Making custom shirts is as much an art form as it is a science and we love every second of it!
In this video you get a brief look at how the design is initially created and then printed onto a transparency film. The film is then placed on to a screen that has been coated with light sensitive emulsion. From there, it is exposed to uv light and the emulsion hardens. Next, we take it to our washout booth and blow out the soft emulsion to reveal an open stencil. This is how the stencil is created.
Now that we have our stencil, we can begin screen printing t shirts. The screen goes on press where the ink is sheared through the mesh opening and on to a shirt. The final print will then travel through a dryer where the ink will receive its final cure at 320 degrees. Your shirt is now ready to wear!
This is how we print, day in and day out.
