The Swansea University’s History of Computing Collection (HoCC) contains equipment, software, archives, ephemera, oral histories, and videos. It was founded, in Autumn 2007, in order to study technological development and innovation, and the relationship between computing, people and society.

One focus is the development of computing in Wales. By investigating the local history of computing we are better able to understand the interplay of technical, social, economic and cultural factors.

Another focus is the development of the theory of computing and software engineering for which we have several archives.
