ADA transition plans outline a jurisdiction's assessment and plans for bringing their infrastructure into compliance with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The Palm Beach Transportation Planning Agency (TPA) is required by federal agencies to sign assurances that all recipients of federal funds allocated by the TPA have ADA transition plans in place.
On Oct. 11, 2018, the Palm Beach TPA hosted a training for local government representatives and others to provide training on ADA Transition Plan responsibilities. The training was conducted by Dean Perkins, ADA Coordinator for the Florida Dept. of Transportation.
