• Secant Fractal Rotation

    This is a different sort of fractal animation. It is based on the Secant Method which is similar to Newton's Method for finding the roots of a complex polynomial. Unlike Newton's Method, the Secant Method requires two initial points. The first point is given by the x-y coordinates on screen, while the second traces a path on the unit circle. This results in this weird pattern, that seems to be rotating, while growing and shrinking at the same time, while actually doing neither. Show less
