The Through the Lens documentary series is an ongoing National Geographic and South African Tourism partnership featuring some of the world's best photographers and their visual interpretations of South Africa. The series began in 2008 with David Doubilet, Karen Kasmauski and Mattias Klum and in 2013 Heather Perry, Stephen Alvarez and Lola Akinmade Akerstrom visited the country to create incredible memories of the South African spiritual and visual landscape.
