Shamed Dogan is a conservative Republican candidate for State Representative in Missouri's 88th District. From 2001-2002, Shamed worked for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, conducting opposition research that helped Republicans take back the majority in the U.S. Senate. From 2003-2006, he served as a legislative assistant for Senator Jim Talent, where he helped to write federal "Pass with Care" legislation and advised the Senator on transportation, immigration, energy and other issues. In 2007, Dogan was selected as one of the St. Louis Business Journal's 30 Under 30, named the St. Louis Area Young Republicans' Man of the Year and included in Who's Who in Black St. Louis. He serves as Higher Education Coordinator for the Regional Business Council and is a member of the St. Louis Area Young Republicans, the West County Jaycees, and the Urban League Young Professionals. Shamed and Sara Dogan live in Ballwin and are expecting their first child in September.
