7 day Indiana Harvest Forecast by Ryan Martin. With harvest set to begin, the forecast does not look good. Hoosier Ag Today meteorologist Ryan Martin says wet weather will stall harvest activity for the next week before it even begins, “We have the remains of tropical system Gordon moving across the state this weekend. This system could drop from 2 inches to up to 7 inches of rain in some areas. The harvest rain will likely be from US 24 down to I-70.” Even after Gordon passes, Martin says there is more rain in the forecast, “We have more rain coming back next Wednesday and Thursday.” He said a longer dry spell is not likely until close to the middle of the month.
