Gangjong Doeghar

Gangjong Doeghar

(Dance Troup from Snow Land ) is an independent troupe made up of local Tibetan, Sherpa and Bhutia youths, who enrolled themselves voluntarily to learn the art of Tibet 's music and dance.

The association was founded in the year 1995, Oct 17, and registered under the Societies Registration Act XXVI of 1961 (West Bengal ).

As most of the artists are either school students or college going, they use to gather on Saturday and Sunday to practice and improve their skills. With a few exceptions, all the members have had no formal training in dance. The members' infectious performances clearly demonstrate passion, commitment and willingness to learn.
