The Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing cost effective quality assistance for all individuals in the State of Louisiana who may be affected by gambling problems. The organization promotes the development of education programs and professional resources for Problem Gambling assistance.

Primary funding is provided by contracts with the Office of Behavioral Health, State of Louisiana, Department of Health and Hospitals, and by grants from the Louisiana Casino Association, the Community Foundation of Northwest Louisiana, the Carolyn W. and Charles T. Beaird Family Foundation, and individual donors. Our programs are operated by Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling, which came into existence in 1996 and is the Louisiana affiliate for the National Council on Problem Gambling.

The Louisiana Association on Compulsive Gambling maintains a position of gaming neutrality and neither endorses nor opposes legalized gambling.
