Today V and I had a spontaneous trip to Charlcote Park, a National Trust property in Warwickshire, as the weather was so lovely. Here's a quick look around.
The grounds are beautiful and the house itself is stunning. There are also themed exhibits. At the moment they are looking back at the first world war in honour of the centenary. As well as the formal gardens there is also acres of park land to explore and lots of Charlecote Park deer to spot.
After a lovely walk round the gardens we finished off in the ever popular National Trust cafe for tea and cake. Charlecote Park is a great family day out if you're near Stratford upon Avon or in the Cotswolds and like National Trust properties do stick this one on your list of days out with kids for the summer hols.
