Southern IPM Center

The mission of the Southern Integrated Pest Management Center is to foster development and adoption of IPM, a science-based approach to managing pests in ways that generate economic, environmental and human health benefits. The Center’s unique strengths are leveraged through collaboration among NC State and University of Georgia in partnership with regional stakeholders from multiple sectors in agricultural, urban, and rural settings to identify and address regional priorities for research, education, and outreach.

The Southern IPM Center is one of four regional IPM Centers funded by the USDA National Institute of Food and Agriculture operating as a hub of multi-state partnership and community network linking variety of stakeholders, including extension agents, growers, government agencies, and researchers. Geographically, we serve 13 states across the Southeastern United States and two territories.
