    I made this video about the Helicopter scene in Goodfellas in an effort to improve what I do, learning by picking apart a master. Hopefully it'll be of value to others.
    When I'm making video essays I always spend the most time - with the most joy - editing music. I have no real expertise in sound editing and mixing which if you're a sound guy you can probably tell just based on nomenclature alone, but I try to integrate music in my work as best I can. I find that for how polished video essays have become, the sound remains the black sheep of the medium. Let's change this!
