UEA's Enterprise Centre is one of the UK's most sustainable buildings. Standing at the campus gateway it is a centre for student entrepreneurship, and a regional hub for innovators and businesses that are committed to a low carbon future.
The groundbreaking project is the first large UK commercial building to achieve both Passivhaus certification and BREEAM Outstanding. It uses a high proportion of natural, local and recycled materials and inspired new and exciting local industry.
The predicted lifecycle CO2 emissions over the 100-year expected lifetime of the building are 20-25% of other university buildings of a similar size and usage.
