The Urbana Adult Education Center (UAEC) is a (100% grant funded) self-supporting division of Urbana School District 116, which has offered free full-time comprehensive education programs for non-traditional populations since it was established in 1963. UAEC offers a number of programs to help adult learners (ages 16 and older) to improve their career and college readiness. In addition to basic education services, UAEC offers four occupational training programs: Certified Nurse Assistant, Office Skills training, English as a Second Language, and Workplace Training programs. The majority of UAEC young adult students (ages 16-21) are working toward a high school diploma or GED. Our channel highlights workshops and presentations regarding life skills topics that allow our students to be successful.
