The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders is today an iconic economic conference dedicated to promoting the Mediterranean, its key economic sectors and cultural values on a global level. Since its debut in 2005, the MedaWeek Barcelona has served as a reference point for voicing the interests of the private sector in the socioeconomic development of the region.
This year, its 11th edition, will take place from 22 to 24 November at the Casa Llotja de Mar, in Barcelona (Spain). The MedaWeek 2017 is jointly organized by the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the Official Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), with the collaboration of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and other prominent Euro-Mediterranean organizations.
The event is co-funded by the Cámara de España and the European Regional Development Fund.
In line with this year’s claim “Strength in Diversity: Our Economic Power” – MedaWeek 2017 will address regional priorities such as women entrepreneurship, Islamic finance, green and sustainable development, circular economy, urban development and textile industry, among others.
