Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is a FPS (First Person Shooter) video game in the style of Battle Royale Last Man Standing. Options to play Solo, Duo or 3 to 4 person squads is available. Up to 100 players parachute onto a fictitious island and search for weapons and equipment, all the while avoiding being killed by other players.
PUBG (aka Playerunknown's Battlegrounds) starts from a plane and players parachuting onto an 8 by 8 kilometer island. As time progresses in the game, the 'safe' area decreases, forcing players into encounters. In the end, there can be only 1 player or team declared the winner as they fight it out to the very end!
The first map in PUBG is Erangel Island, a fictitious Russian island abandoned by the military. The major cities are Georgopol and Yasnaya Polyana, while minor cities include Gatka, Lipoyka, Mylta, Novorepnoye, Pochinki, Primorsk, Rozhok, Severny and Zharki. Major landmarks include Mylta power plant, Sosnovka Island, Sosnovka military base and Stalber.
