Each of us is on a spiritual journey. What we share in common is the need to keep moving—taking intentional steps of faith. But everyone’s journey will look different—that’s why we offer a variety of adult ministries to choose from. Our goal is to encourage and equip you to take your next step as you Pursue Life in Christ.
We hit the high point! Or was it the low point? Perhaps both! Jesus came (the high point). Jesus died (the low point). Jesus rose from the dead (the highest point). In Season 4 we’ll see just what the Resurrected Christ can do.
Last Season The One Story ended startlingly and wonderfully. The Good and Very Good went from Very Bad to the Worst. Then, The Best! God made a promise, no, The Promise—declaring to Abram (later Abraham), a bedouin nobody, “in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” The Promise is a great short summary of The One Story, but not the shortest. The shortest is “Jesus”! Jesus is The Blessing of which The Promise speaks. Jesus was both genetically and spiritually in Abraham, though His appearance two millennia away. In Season 1 the human race, and our sin, began in Adam. In Season 2, worldwide blessing begins in Abraham.
Beginning in glory and neverending in greater glory. Answering the big (and small) questions of life. Twisting, turning and triumphing in startling ways. It’s The One Story! The Bible is the script. “The heavens and the earth” is the stage. And God is the Star. You’re in it too. So, come find yourself in The One Story! Follow The One Story over 5 Seasons, each with weekly episodes. If you must miss a week, handouts of past episodes will be available in the overlook area and church library, or by downloading them from the episode page.
