WHEN BURG MET BRISTOL
18 German ART students with one WEEK to become STREET ARTISTS and present their work to the PUBLIC.
The story of when 18 art students from Germany came to Bristol to get to know it's culture before painting their influences and observations on the streets in full public view.
This film documents the creative & cultural collaboration between the students from BURG, Halle University of art, and the city of Bristol, facilitated by WHERE THE WALL.
With one week to acclimatise to Bristol, to feel & learn the culture, the students were introduced to Bristol with a number of activities organised by WHERE THE WALL, using these influences to guide them, the students then painted new street pieces in full public view.
A unique, and hopefully regularly repeated, international collaboration reaching out across countries and proving that collaboration does not start and end with governments and policies.
Cultural progression and the mixing and richness of diversity happens because of people, and nothing can stop that.
Thank you to the people of Bristol, Klara Scheller, Rob Dean, Deamze, PRSC and everyone else who made this occassion special and memorable.
All music is produced by another creative project involving WHERE THE WALL.
