SEEDS is a grant funded program offered through the College of Engineering at Wichita State University. The objective of SEEDS is to promote science, technology, engineering, and math skills. The SEEDS program is now serving all children in the K-12 grade range. Grades K-5 is a magical time in a childs life. While few children know exactly what they want to be when they grow up, it is important they realize that everyone has the ability to be an engineer or a scientist. Grades 5-8 are very important years in the lives of children. Through our Switched On Saturday events, SEEDS gives children and their parents the opportunity to explore some exciting technology and science based topics prior to making decisions about high school courses. Grades 9-12 are pivotal for most young adults. We feel that continuing to show young adults that science, technology, engineering and math can be fun is very important during this period.
