Grammy- Nominee Alex Meixner and The Alex Meixner Band - recognized nation-wide as "the hardest working band in Polka today" - will headline this year's expanded and diverse entertainment schedule during Galveston's premier fall event - the 34th Annual Island Oktoberfest. Set to take place in historic downtown Galveston, the festival kicks-off Friday evening, October 23rd from 5-11 pm and continues Saturday, October 24th from 11 am - 11 pm. This fun, family weekend will feature continuous live entertainment, authentic German food and libations, Cake Wheel, fine arts, crafts and gifts, an exciting auction & raffle, new car raffle, fun family activities presented by volunteers from the Speaker's Bureau of The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, children's games and activities, and much more.
