First time at Koh Larn Island - learning more about ridge soaring hour after hour (one flight lasted 6 hour 30 minutes up to 300/400m+ high comfortable above sea level), day after day :) trying.../learning to exploit the lift, stay in front of the lift (not back), fly at minimum sink, fly smoothly and efficiently, turning in lift and spending as little time as possible in the sink. Using shadows on the ground seeing the paragliders groundspeed is exciting to.
Used the laminar wind for checking speedbar system, exercise small and big ears with & without speedbars together, tiny light wing overs, weightshifting and 360s, flying near the ridge, up the ridge, out over the sea, sink and back again to gain height, looking at other gliders flying in the air, even trying to following the birds.
Then flying the whole ridge, having much fun and learning more about my flying and equipment. Here You could start fly in the morning and land in the sunset.
Happy landings even with a small flyover quick turn above water at the end, did learn how important it is to have presure in the glider, weightshift and flaire at the right moment.
Many Thanks to all the friendly Thai Pilots and Warm Kind People, special thanks to Geoff at Flyohlarn.com / Glide Asia for guidance and teaching!
