Chronic Kidney Disease affects 26 million Americans. That’s 1 and every 9 adults, and most don’t even know it. The leading causes are diabetes, high blood pressure, and people with a family history of these conditions or kidney disease. There are 83,000 people on the waiting list for a kidney transplant and one person dies every two hours while waiting for a kidney transplant. “1 in 9” is a documentary purposed to change the trajectory of Kidney Disease, chronicling Raymond Scott’s journey to and through the 10th anniversary of Dancing with the Stars NKF AZ Gala. The goal is to ignite a nationwide movement to promote awareness and prevention campaigns, as well as support expedited research & development of new treatment options (including kidney regeneration). We want to extend not just Raymond's life, but to do the same for countless others that we meet along the way.
