I'm trapped at the cross-section of two mediums which have openly accepted mediocrity as the way forward for creativity--anime and youtube: both ever-bloating industries of small groups with small visions (or big visions that they can't possibly deliver on) whose net cultural and financial value is not even remotely reflected in the amount of revenue circulating through them, as a result of incompetency in the way that each industry is run; and it's all possible because we've all accepted it.
