Giving Times is a new web-based news format specifically for the Third Sector to share and host their news and activity. Our aim is to provide a platform for charities and social enterprises which need to have their voice heard and their activity recognised as widely as possible, as part of their core engagement policy and relationship management. As well as Third Sector stories and business CSR updates, Giving Times will promote events, activities, jobs and social value reports – and help with networking and media engagement. Critically, businesses will also be given the opportunity to use Giving Times to promote their ongoing CSR and social action activity. We feel strongly that in 2015 business should be used more to help solve social problems. The news will be online and available to all, but with additional bite-sized incisive weekly updates sent to subscribers. The use of Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Instagram, Google+ and Facebook will be integral to Giving Times.
