On May 25th, 2018, I began seeing strange images when I closed my eyes. That may be hard for you to believe; for me, it was completely surreal.
That same day, I started trying to draw some of the things I was seeing. I've never practiced drawing before that day. I'm 30 years old.
Besides casual doodling, or tracing stick figure comics during class when I was a kid, I have NEVER studied art or tried to draw at all. I have always been creative, but I've spent my life focusing on writing and music.
What happened next was just... bizarre.
Suddenly, I began drawing these beautiful, intricate worlds and scenes. My hand moved with almost no effort... turning the canvas in every direction, gliding back and forth with ease.
I couldn't believe it. At first, I tried to think about it too much. My body tensed up and at one point I remember feeling physically ill when I tried to control it. Once I relaxed, it came back. I did my best to clear my mind.
What happened next is something you have to see to believe.
I'm not saying these drawings are "amazing"; in fact, by comparison (to anyone who's been drawing more than three weeks) they're not even good [technically speaking]. But to me, they're wonderful, because going from stick figure drawings to this in a matter of days is absolutely absurd.
I don't know how I'm doing it, and honestly, I don't care. I just don't want the visions to stop.
