OPEN TUNING: A Free Music Festival in Downtown Toronto - IT’S FREE. IT’S UNIQUE. IT’S DIY! Once again, the streets of Toronto’s Seaton Village will explode with live music of all genres at unique venues across the neighbourhood. Inspired by la fête de la musique in Paris, France, Open Tuning is an all-day, free music festival that fills porches, lanes, alleys, parks, and shops with music. Last year’s festival included more than 70 performers spread over 20 venues. Open Tuning attracted musicians of every age, genre and experience level, including members of Toronto’s Broken Social Scene, Feist and Jane Siberry. The festival is 100% community driven and it all happened without a penny of advertising or corporate sponsorship. This year’s Open Tuning Festival happens on Saturday, June 11, from 12 noon to 10 p.m. in downtown Toronto’s dynamic and diverse Seaton Village - bordered by Dupont Ave., Bloor St., Bathurst St., and Christie St. Contact us for more info.
