Original instrumental songs that are composed/improvised by me. They're not all perfect. Some have more mistakes than others, but I post them like this anyway for a reason. It's not just because I'm too lazy to go back and record them without mistakes (haha). My reason is that they represent regular people. We can't control everything in life; it truly is mostly improvised. There are going to be some missteps and "wrong notes", but we still have a song within us that guides us along and keeps us going. Maybe yours is one that someone else would love to hear and could benefit from. It might not be a literal song like this, but it may be a word you say or a simple good deed you do that has a profound effect on another person. I've struggled, and still do, with the idea of perfection. I set high expectations for myself that usually can't be met and they end up doing more harm than good. I'm learning though, through my music, that you don't have to be perfect to make a difference. I'm not a Julliard-taught, classically-trained master piano player, but I know I don't have to be to play something that people enjoy. It's the same with anything else we do in life, and it's a liberating feeling. Most things don't require perfection, they just require us to do our best. My real hope with my music is that at least one person ends up feeling something good from it; that it nurtures and springs forth a positive thought or idea within them, and they have a desire to pass that feeling along to someone else.
I'm not a singer. I'm not trying to be a singer. I like to play songs though, so I do this for the fun of it. I don't think I'm the worst musician you've ever heard in your life, but I sure as heck am not the best or even close to it either. So there you go. If you like them, that's great. If you don't, then whatever.
