Do you like animals, hiking, snow-shoeing, fabulous presentations, guided walks, concerts, movie nights, star gazing, kayaking, sunrise events, moonrise events, or nature museums? If so, you will not be disappointed visiting this beautiful corner of the earth!
White Memorial is home to Connecticut’s largest Nature Sanctuary, comprised of 4,000 acres and 40 miles of exquisite and varied trails. Picnic tables, a pond, and ample/free parking are found just outside the Conservation Center, which houses one of New England’s finest nature museums.
The wildlife sanctuary is open 24/7 year-round free of charge. We only ask that you treat this sanctuary as you would your home, with respect and care. Memories that last a lifetime are made within this very special place.
Bring friends, family, or solo it….whatever you do, plan to be touched by the beauty and restoration of the natural world. Come on home!
Check our website www.whitememorialcc.org to view our Calendar and other offerings.
You'll find a list of over 2 dozen programs offered within the Center or that we can bring to your venue. Schools, libraries, homeschools, Girl and Boy Scouts, and garden Clubs enjoy our many dynamic presentations and workshops.
The Center has been working to build a conservation-minded community through education, recreation, research, and conservation for 54 years.
We are so very fortunate that the brother and sister team, Alain and May White, had the vision and means to establish this beautiful Sanctuary more than 100 years ago. www.whitememorialcc.org.
